| Through the months of December (07), January and February I am setting myself a challenge - Converting from PC to MAC in 90 Days.
I've been told one too many times by MAC users that they are superior, they are the best, they are easy etc. So, That is the challenge - Will I, after 90 days, be a convert? Rather than just checking it out for a week or two, I'm going to make a commitment to the machine, I'm going to move all my files, my programs, my work over to the Mac. On this page I will document my thoughts, my frustrations, my excitement whatever it is. If you are a MAC user, let me know what to expect, more importantly be here to help me when I hit some rough patches. This will be interesting. |

| I've been back on the PC now for almost a week, and I am missing that Macbook Pro. Keep in mind my laptop is a 2-3 year old Dell, running XP and a million programs - really needs a cleanup! However, a few key things 1/ I do prefer a Windows keyboard, the shortcuts, home/end and consistent use of CTRL for shrotcuts with Alt left to the menus, it's what i am USED to. Judgement day has arrived - WEEKS EARLY - because I just know, I don't NEED any more time. So, the big question is, what has life been like on the other side of the fence. Well, I'll tell you. It's been good. I'm going to miss it here. MAC WORLD is a very very different place to WINDOWS WORLD where I have lived, in basic happiness for some 12 or more years now. Well a lot of people have asked for this, a comparison in PRICE between a MAC and PC. It's VERY hard to do, because there is ONE Mac price, and a million different PC prices. So, I've gone with DELL. Because i was able to pick a machine, customise it and try and compare. A few notes - PRICE IS NOT EVERYTHING, you see the form factor, the look, the keyboard, the usability, the OPERATING SYSTEM, all make a difference. Click Here to read full entry..... |

| I've been an Adobe Photoshop user for many many years, in fact it is a tool i simply could not live without. From basic graphic tools to advanced editing and image manipulation, any good web developer should use it, let alone the top graphic artists who all swear by it. There is really no competitor any more. Many many years ago Corel's Paint Shop which came with the then expensive Corel Draw set was very useful, but products like that just fail to keep up. | Every time i think to myself, YES i live the Mac, but NO i can't justify it, I sit down in the lounge room or bed room late in the evening and open the Mac up for a moment and the keyboard LIGHTS UP making it SO easy to see the keys...
