| I've been back on the PC now for almost a week, and I am missing that Macbook Pro. Keep in mind my laptop is a 2-3 year old Dell, running XP and a million programs - really needs a cleanup! However, a few key things 1/ I do prefer a Windows keyboard, the shortcuts, home/end and consistent use of CTRL for shrotcuts with Alt left to the menus, it's what i am USED to. 2/ MACS ARE SO FAST TO STARTUP and HIBERNATE. That is the one thing I've been missing, this thing is just a pain to startup and shutdown. 3/ Problems - I have had more problems in just a couple of days, than I did in 2 and a half months with the Mac - just little things - like taking 3-4 goes to install Bigpond's connection software, aplpication errors, cleaning up the startup.. All very interesting. No doubt i PREFER a windows operating environment, for the way it works and what I am used to, but i prefer the MAC hardware and consistency. Still a bit each way aren't I.! |
