| I have to say the concept of a 'big announcement' from Apple has worn pretty thin with me.. But, all credit to them, they do attract the hype. Leading into this morning's announcement there were strong rumours from the USA, and most notably Kevin Rose, that there would be a new Nano, reverting to the older tall thin style, a new iPod Touch, and an update to iTunes - version 8. Almost amazingly, for the first time in a long time, this was spot on. So, if you head on over to Apple.com - you'll see the new range of Nano's (an excellent array of colours), the new Touch, and download the new iTunes. The Touch now comes in a sleek, and shiny new case, with many of the iPhone features, like external volume controls and speaker. iTunes has a new Genius built in, designed to help you CHOOSE songs that suit or match one and other. All great, and I look forward to trying them out. But it makes me wonder, is Apple losing it's touch? (pardon the pun) How did SO MUCH information leak out - they are normally VERY SECURE... Interesting! |
