15 Jun 2009 - Blackberry App World - Coming Soon - PLEASE!
This whole thing is starting to drag on just a little too much!

Seems to me as if Blackberry's App World has been available in the US for weeks, months, heck, it could be years.

Whenever I go to download it, it tells me I am not superior enough, not a US citizen (not in so many words, but sure, I can read between the lines)

But tonight, a mini Jackpot.

A secret download lets me see first hand what all the fuss is about.

Now I will try not to compare to Apples App Store, but it is hard to do.

Frankly, I think its as good.

All it lacks is the 35,000+ titles.

The rest is seamless.

Installation, easy.  Browsing, Easy.  Searching, Easy.  Viewing currently installed apps - easy.

What more can I say?  Prices from FREE (lots) to high end stuff ($79.99 for a GPS maps service that I saw).

I'm running this on my BOLD which is also running the experimental 5.0 operating System, which, in itself is like going from XP to Windows 7 - leaps and bounds better.

I've put a stack of pics below - but let me say this - BRING IT ON RIM - we need this here.

I'm encouraged by this tonight, because I don't believe this is 'catch up stuff', this is genuine Blackberry goodness.

I just don't like being second class that's all!

For the record, I tested:
the Flashlight - pretty cool.
Golf - cool, but the free version needs more holes
and xenozu - a Youtube app - WHICH WORKS - viewing YouTube on Blackberry could be a huge new time-waster for me, but a well recommended app!
