17 Sep 2009 - Digital Radio - PURE HIGHWAY
I wrote a few days ago about Digital Radio and mentioned the PURE HIGHWAY, and also my concerns about reception.

After some great assistance from people in the know within the Industry, I can now update you to say that the PURE HIGHWAY issues I had along the Pacific Highway (Chatswood-Artarmon) are solved.

How - Ignore the Manual.

The Manual tells you to mount the antenna on the windscreen 3cm from the side pillar and 2cm from the roof.  The black bulk of the antenna would be at the bottom with the wire heading up to the roof.

IGNORE THIS - What you should do is place the antenna in the middle of the screen, with the black bulk at the TOP and the wire heading down the windscreen toward your dash.

Complete turn around in reception.

Wonderful stuff.
