A couple of weeks with the new 6500 Slide, this certainly is a nice phone.
If you are a slide phone user, this is a mid-sized version.
The E65 Nokia is the slimline - the 6280 and others are the large size.
On the BOX this LOOKS big - but take it out and hold it in your hand and you realise this is actually quite a good sized device.
Rather than try and test it myself, I handed the phone over to someone I thought fitted the demographic target for the phone.

THE GOOD
- Love the finish on the phone and it feels nice and solid. Normally I prefer a slimmer phone but this one feels very compact
- Took a while for my poor brain to figure out how to get the back off first time ‘round, but it’s a cinch once you know
- Camera rocks – with a flash! Never had that before, great options: portrait mode, photos + video
- Battery lasts for ages
- Great reception and sound
THE BAD
- Changing to predictive text and back via menus is a bit too fiddly
- Phone can only be locked from the main menu
THE VERY GOOD
- It’s currently No 2 on the People’s Choice List at Vodafone
OVERALL
Very easy to use, easy set-up and menu navigation. Specially compared to my old phone, but my old phone is OLD.
Love the phone 9.4/10.
So, there you go - certainly a great looking phone, and a good upgrade option if you are in the market.
