02 Jan 2008 - Google Miss the Mark with Google Aps Mail Storage Issues
I'm the first to give Google a wrap with their many amazing products and functions.

Having been a Gmail user now for many years, I can report nothing but satisfaction.  The odd spam false positive, but that is to be expected with any decent spam filter.

Over the last month, as i Migrate from PC to Mac - I have considered what best to do with my archive of over 300,000 emails over the past 12 years.

In the end, I discovered the Gmail API, which allows your mail to be stored entirely online, doing away with all my pst archives.

I have had a Google Aps account for a while, never Really used it.. so with my domain name configured on it, i took the plunge.  25 GIG of storage, and having looked at Gmail upgrades, i'd be happy to pay for up to 400GIG if i really needed it.

So here I am, about 3 weeks down the track, i've uploaded 130,000 'conversations' (i'd guess about 200,000+ actual messages), and i'm at 89% of my allocated 25GIG.

Where do i upgrade?

I search, and search, and search.

Found the Gmail upgrade page, could upgrade my old Gmail account, which is NOT linked to my domain to 400GIG, but nope - not the Aps account.

I can create a NEW USER who would have 25GIG, but no upgrade possible.

Are they kidding? or am i missing something???

Amazing.

Please tell me THIS, plus the upgrade of Apps accounts to the newer (and better) Gmail version is coming SOON!
