07 Mar 2008 - iPhone officially challenging the Blackberry....
While that isn't the way Apple are putting it, be certain that is where the focus is.

Apple today announced version 2 Beta of their iPhone software, which, for the most part has one KEY feature - PUSH EMAIL SUPPORT.

Basically, Blackberry's rock because the email comes to you AS it is sent to you - you do not need to jump through hoops, checking mail every minute or set time.  It just COMES.

The iPhone needs this if it wants to break into the corporate market. That is where the Blackberry does best.

So stay tuned for the big RIM (Blackberry) vs Apple (iPhone) war over the coming month's and years... RIM will be out soon with some funky new handsets for sure!

(by the way there are a heap of other features in iPhone 2.0, but as it's not available in Australia, who cares for now!)

The iPhone isn't in Oz but the iPod Touch is and new apps will be coming to it when they are released. The Touch also recently had the Mail program added to it's features.
