30 Apr 2008 - A month on... is Vista THAT bad?
I have to say I've been surprisingly impressed with Windows Vista.

Forget lab tests and benchmarking, I've been using Vista as an end user, an everyday user.

For the most part, It's been simple use, Internet, Email, Word Processing, Spreadsheets, plus some advanced use of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro.

I've found it very easy to use, It is certainly not as dramatic as switching to a MAC!

However, some things can be annoying, such as the constant security warnings when installing programs or accessing program settings.  While frustrating, any average user would appreciate the information I have to assume.

I've installed a few peices of software which i've used across XP for many years without fail.

The one big thing I have not yet done is connect all that much hardware.  External mouse, BigPond NEXTG Wireless broadband and that's about it.

I'll keep plugging away, but on face value, I think as long as you do as i've been recommending and make the switch on the purchase of a NEW Pc, with plenty of RAM (2Gig PLUS), and all the other recommended settings, you will enjoy it.

More to come...
